Collaboration for the Advancement of Epidemiological Research!

We are pleased to announce that representatives of 10 Polish research teams have signed a letter of intent aimed at joining forces to advance epidemiological research in Poland.
The initiative was launched by the Medical University of Białystok and is led by Prof. Karol Kamiński, Vice-Rector for Preventive Medicine and Open Science, and head of the Białystok PLUS project.

Key goals of the collaboration include:

  • Standardizing research methodology,
  • Enhancing the quality and execution of studies,
  • Sharing knowledge and experience,
  • Promoting international cooperation,
  • Taking action to improve public health.

Signatories of the letter include prominent researchers from leading scientific institutions:

  • National Institute of Oncology – Dr. habil. Marta Mańczuk

  • Poznań University of Medical Sciences – Prof. Piotr Eder
  • Medical University of Gdańsk – Prof. Witold Rzyman
  • National Institute of Public Health – NIH (PZH) – Dr. Katarzyna Stoś
  • Wrocław Medical University – Prof. Tomasz Zatoński

The signing of the letter of intent underscores the growing need for interdisciplinary scientific cooperation, which is crucial for population health research.

This newly launched collaboration has the potential to significantly improve the quality of life in society by deepening the understanding of multimorbidity and its long-term effects.
