Białystok PLUS in the very heart of Milan!
On the final day of the prestigious ESC Preventive Cardiology Congress in Milan, Associate Professor Małgorzata Chlabicz presented the research findings conducted within the Białystok PLUS project, in collaboration with the German SHIP-TREND study.
The topic of the presentation was:
“Time to change the electrocardiography (ECG) indices of left ventricular hypertrophy: the Bialystok PLUS and SHIP-TREND population-based studies”
The presentation emphasized the need to update the ECG criteria used in the diagnosis of left ventricular hypertrophy. Findings from two large population-based studies demonstrate that a new approach may more effectively identify individuals at elevated cardiovascular risk.
This marks another important step toward building European scientific collaboration grounded in high-quality population data.
